Population, dev’t forum set to explore dynamics of migration, sustainable growth in Butuan City
BUTUAN CITY -- The Population and Development Forum: Exploring Population Dynamics, Migration Patterns, and Sustainable Economic Development will take place on November 26-27, 2024, at the VCDU New Prince Hotel, Butuan City. This significant event is part of the Population and Development Week Celebration, happening from November 23-29, 2024.
The activity bares the theme, "TAO ang puso ng pag-unlad," underscoring the idea that human capital is at the heart of progress and development. It also emphasizes the critical role that individuals and communities play in shaping the future.
The forum will bring together policymakers, community leaders, civil society organizations, academic institutions, and business leaders to discuss and address key issues related to population growth, urban migration, and sustainable development, with a specific focus on Butuan City and Caraga region.
Key topics include Population Dynamics and Migration Patterns: Understanding how population changes and migration trends impact urban development and economic growth; Sustainable Economic Development: Exploring strategies for ensuring inclusive and sustainable growth that benefits all sectors of the community; and Public-Private Partnerships: Highlighting the importance of collaboration between the government, private sector, and civil society in driving development goals.
