DILG-13 hosts post-assessment on 2024 SGLG implementation

BUTUAN CITY -- The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Caraga held a Post-Assessment and Lessons Learned Session (LLS) for the Calendar Year 2024 Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) implementation at the Butuan Grand Palace Hotel in Butuan City.

The event brought together DILG top management, city and provincial directors, focal persons, including DILG personnel who served as Regional Assessors and National Validators during the CY 2024 SGLG assessment and validation process.

The event showcased a comprehensive presentation of feedback by the SGLG Regional Assessment Team (RAT), covering all essential aspects of the CY 2024 SGLG implementation.

This included the initial regional orientation, national validation, and calibration processes. The review offered a detailed examination of the challenges and successes encountered throughout the assessment.

Another key feature involved the active participation of the attendees as they provided constructive feedback on the Draft DILG Memorandum Circular for the SGLG implementation in C.Y. 2025. Among these invaluable insights included refining the guidelines for C.Y. 2025 to ensure a streamlined and efficient assessment process.

Furthermore, strategic action plans for each Field Operating Unit (FOU) were presented, outlining strategic approaches to assist local government units (LGUs) in achieving SGLG accreditation in the upcoming year. These plans will also guide the Regional Integrated Development Support (RIDS) proposal for its second year of implementation.

This collaborative effort underscored the commitment of DILG Caraga to continuously improve the SGLG process, ensuring that LGUs are equipped with the necessary tools and guidance to achieve excellence in governance. (LGOO V Davejane N. Barcelon, DILG-13/PIA-Caraga)
